Desert Poison

In this Desert Poison series I play off the fact that, in order to identify themselves, poisonous desert creatures and plants are brightly colored - incongruous with their surroundings.

These pieces use more muted desert colors that contain within them a color that is jarring/surprising, a desert poison color. I often find myself startled by poison colors in the desert, and in my own life and thoughts.
